Papa He'e Nalu Workshop 8AM-12PM

You get to choose from two legendary teachers to complete you very own wooden papa he'enalu.  Classes are limited.

Hualalai Keohuloa teaches the 8am-12pm class.  Hualalai is a Hawaii Island Native, specializing in open ocean navigation, canoe building, traditional surfing and farming.  His love, knowledge, and passion for surfing, make him a highly sought after teacher.

Ian "surf professor" Masterson  (12pm - 4pm class) is a lifeguard and college professor specializing in traditional surfing.  We are blessed to partner with him to offer his expertice to have a surf-ready Papa He'e Nalu in FOUR DAYS.

Either workshop is $600 and INCLUDES a 6'-10' x 1.5" fishpond cured slab (Albesia or African Tulip) and access to all the powertools to make a custom traditional surfboard.  Instructors provide all the knowlege, safety gear (eye, ear and gloves).  You bring a great attitude, wear covered shoes and fitted/not loose work clothes.  Most participants will finish their work in two classes.  This workshop is a stay til you finished one, so work fast, leave early or take your time and use up the 16 hours of workshop time.
